Pea Green Chili?

So there are many things here backwards to the U.S.. One of them is meat prices. If you want to buy a package of lean, fat trimmed, beautiful diced pork, it is like the cheapest meat you can buy. If you want chicken breast it is a little more expensive but still cheaper that at home. But if you want fatty gnarly looking pork- expect to pay THREE times as much! Dark meat chicken is alot more expensive that chicken breast. It was the same in Thailand. This is very very lucky for me. I'll take your leans meats cheap, dear Korea.

So I decided to make pork green chili since I have all these onions and tomatoes. I bought some large green chili peppers (I was scared they were going to be too spicy but they weren't spicy at all (?)). I roasted them over the flame of my stove - peeled them etc. They work really well. The recipe I have calls for this to simmer for two hours before you add the flour to thicken it. I Skyped with [info]usuishiro for a while and then realized I should book it to the grocery store as I didn't have any flour. I looked up the korean word for flour, wrote it down, and headed to Kosa Mart. I showed them the word and they took me to laundry detergent!! I looked so confused so he took me to the glutinous rice powder aisle and left me. This would be the place that flour would be... if they had such a thing. There was potato powder, rice powder, bean powder, and one package that looked like flour but wasn't labeled in English-- so I bought it.

I came home and opened it- it smelled strange- not strong, but not like flour either. So I looked up what it was... green pea pancake powder!

I thought, well maybe I'll add...
