Easy as 1-2-3?!
We got this pool for the boys. Notice it says "Ready for water in 30 minutes and Set up is as easy as 1-2-3!" Well, apparently this does not apply to us. Took me, while Dave was at work, an hour just to smooth out the bottom. The night before it took us several hours getting it out of the box, clearing the ground of debris, spread it and the tarp out on the ground, blowing up the sides, and getting the filter ready to put on, etc. So maybe it should read, "For some people it's ready for water in 30 minutes." I skinned up my fingers as well and had band-aids all over them. LOL! The boys have been loving the pool.
I miss the taste of real butter. I have to eat a gluten-free/non-dairy butter, Smart Balance. It tastes good as long as you don't eat it in generous amounts. And even though it tastes good it's just not the same.
I still longingly stare at dairy products. I also get intense cravings for them where I have the urge to binge eat them, I know that sounds funny but it's very true, but I have to ignore that urge. Literally, I have to walk away from the fridge and tell myself what I am not missing. Extreme nausea, moodiness, can trigger headache and migraine, exhaustion, and a flu like feeling with bathroom issues. I think part of the urge is it's a vitamin/calcium type thing so I have to make sure I get this into my diet.
No MSG for me. It is put in seasonings like Johnny's. Makes me very sick.
No sour cream, butter, cream cheese, yogurt, cheese etc. and for some reason mayonnaise (Keep trying this one with no success.). Although, I seem to be fine so far with gluten, I still enjoy many of the GF products. For example, fresh baked GF/DF products taste great and are much better than say like making a Duncan Hines/Betty Crocker cake mix (Can't take the milk out.). Milk in the frosting etc. I get really sick when I eat these. I feel I have more control over the ingredients with the GF/DF products. So even though it is baked in it will still make me sick. Actually, since I have been eating this way I have not even tried to bake any gluten/dairy versions because for some reason just considering it makes me feel sick. Not worth it. I'm very careful about the things I eat now. I ate Justin's birthday cake and ugh. Just because the dairy is not in the form like say cheese or milk does not mean I can tolerate it. There is dried milk in many products as well and they can make me sick. Just a perspective on how much it bothers me. I seem fine with bread though but that so far seems to be the only baked good and it could be because I don't eat a lot of bread even though I love it.
